How to Send an RFI Requesting an Image or Other File

Learn how to request an image or document through an RFI.

With an RFI (Request for Information), you can request that recipients upload an image, PDF, or other supported file type to provide visual documentation or supporting materials.

*You must be a Team Leader or Org Admin to be able to create an RFI

Navigate to the RFI page

Click the hamburger menu in the top-left corner of your screen.

Select Messages, located under the MUSTR section.

Start a New RFI

Click the message icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen to create a new MUSTR.

Select “RFI” from the list of message types.

Fill Out the RFI Fields

Complete the required fields:

  • Recipients: Choose one or more teams.

  • Subject (optional): Add a descriptive title for the RFI which displays in SMS alerts.

  • Priority Type: Select the appropriate level of urgency.

  • Add your Question(s): Enter the question or information you're requesting

*You will not be able to send your RFI till all required fields are met

Request an Image or File Upload

To request a file, click “Add your Question(s)”.

Then select, "File Upload".

You can:

  • Add a File Upload request on its own

  • Or add an additional question before the File Upload request

If you add multiple questions, you will have the option to reorder them after completing the RFI setup.

Send the RFI

If your RFI includes only one question, click Send.

If you added multiple questions:

Click Next to review and reorder them if needed. Then click Send RFI.

And that’s it! Your RFI will be delivered to the selected team(s) with a request to upload an image, document, or other file as needed.

Things to Keep in Mind:

  • Users can attach multiple files or file types if needed (images, PDFs, etc.).

  • Users can only upload 4 files MAX per question
