How Draft Messages Work

Compose, edit, and auto save drafts without losing progress. Easily return to your drafts, make changes, and send later, even if you navigate away or reload the app.

Draft messages allow you to start composing a message and save it for later without losing any progress. Here’s how you can make use of this feature:

Access the Draft Section

In the app, navigate to the Messages tab by clicking on the top left horizontal lines.

You’ll notice a new section labeled Drafts. This will be visible to both regular users and leaders, but with some differences in visibility:

  • Leaders can see both their composed Mustr message drafts and response drafts.

  • Regular users will only see response drafts (since regular users can not create Mustr messages).

Start Composing a Message

Click on the Message icon in the bottom right corner. Choose the message type you want to send out.

Fill out the message fields. Select recipients, set a subject, mark the message as urgent if needed, and add the content of the message.

You don’t have to worry about saving your progress at this point.

Navigating Away and Saving Automatically

If you need to navigate away from the message (e.g., open another tab or app), your draft will auto-save.

To find it later, go to the Drafts section. You’ll find all previous content intact. You can make further changes as needed (e.g., edit or add more options, change content).

You’ll see:

  • The message saved as a draft.

  • Any recipients you’ve added.

  • The timestamp of when it was saved.

  • A subject (if you set one).

Attach Files

To add files, click Add a file and select the file from your device.

Unlike traditional apps, the files will begin uploading immediately once added, not after you send the message. The draft will remember the attached files, even if you navigate away or reload the page.

Finalizing the Message

Click on the draft to open it and do a final review.

Click Send to finalize and send the message.

The draft will disappear from the Drafts section once sent.

Confirm the Sent Message

After sending, you’ll see the message in the Inbox section.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

  • Drafts are saved automatically as you type or make changes.

  • You don’t need to manually save; everything is saved in real time.

  • Files are uploaded and saved when attached.

  • Your progress is preserved even if you reload or exit the app. However, the drafts are only saved on the current device being used. You won't be able to access that draft if you log in on another computer or web browser.

This allows you to work on messages, step away, and return without losing any progress, making it easier to compose complex messages over time.
