Updated this week

OCTOBER 2025

QR Code Onboarding is here!

Onboarding your members is now faster and simpler. The new QR Code Onboarding feature allows users to scan a code to join your All Hands and Team directly, no links or manual entry required.

QR codes can be generated for:

  • The command All Hands

  • Your Department Team & All Hands if new, or just your team if they are already in the command.

Print the code for in-person events and hang it at the door.

CAC login coming soon!

AOK will soon support Common Access Card (CAC) login. Members whose DoDID is included in their onboarding information will be able to access AOK directly using their CAC credentials. This enhancement will streamline authentication and further align AOK with DoD security standards.

Never Lose Your Work Again!

Users can now move between sections of AOK without losing their progress on drafted messages. The new Saved Work capability preserves message drafts automatically — even if the computer is shut down or the session times out.

This improvement ensures a smoother, more reliable workflow for anyone creating or editing communications.

Enhanced Bulletin Board: Acknowledgements and Tracking

The Bulletin Board has been upgraded with new capabilities designed to strengthen accountability and visibility across your teams.

Leaders can now:

  • Request acknowledgement for posts or resources shared in any Bulletin Board section.

  • Track who has seen and acknowledged each post or resource.

  • Export acknowledgment data to review and report on engagement.

This enhancement was originally developed to support Required Reading, but its applications extend far beyond that. Leaders are already using it to streamline:

  • Onboarding for new team members

  • Command notices and important announcements

  • Safety updates and readiness communications

These new tools ensure critical information is not just sent — it’s seen and confirmed.

  • Edit your own answers

  • Edit on behalf of others

  • View a full edit history

Every change is tracked and clearly marked, giving your team transparency while maintaining flexibility.

Request Responses as File Uploads

Need documentation or images from the edge?

Now, when sending a Request for Information (RFI), you can choose to request image/file uploads as responses — making it easier than ever to collect critical information.

Build Grandchild Teams

You asked for deeper team structures, and it’s here:

  • Create up to two levels of sub-teams

  • Example: Department → Division → Duty Station

  • Messages sent to a parent team can be filtered by sub-team in the response view

Note: Members of sub-teams must also be in the parent team.

Spot Phone Errors in the People Screen

Improved visibility into message delivery:

  • Easily identify members who need to update their contact details in their profile.

  • See phone carrier-reported delivery errors like “disconnected” or “device unreachable”

  • Know if a phone was off during last message attempt

*Errors update after the next message send attempt.

Passkeys Now Available!

Logging in just got easier.

You can now set up passkeys on your phone for faster, more secure access to AOK — no more forgotten passwords.

Delete a Sent Mustr Message (BETA)

Sent the wrong Mustr message? Now you can delete it:

  • Click into the sent message → three dots on the top right → delete

  • Message is removed from all users’ AOK app logs

  • SMS users see a note: “This message was deleted by [Name]”

This feature is in beta, and we welcome your feedback!

Weblite Links Now Expire

For added security, all SMS Mustr message links to GovCloud now expire after 30 days.

This change protects sensitive information while still giving recipients time to respond.

As always, thank you for your partnership.
Your feedback helps shape the future of AOK — and we’re proud to continue building for you.
